About Kylie Crisanti, MD

Dr. Crisanti is a physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) physician, also known as a physiatrist, in Austin, Texas. She specializes in the post-acute management of complex rehabilitation conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, limb loss, movement disorders and musculoskeletal conditions. Her goal is to help patients maximize their independence, improve quality of life and restore function following an injury, illness or disabling condition. Dr. Crisanti also has expertise in spasticity management, including the treatment of increased muscle tone associated with upper motor neuron disorders. Her treatment approach includes chemodenervation and intrathecal baclofen therapy when appropriate. She cares for patients at Austin Rehabilitation Specialists and St. David's Rehabilitation Hospital, a part of St. David's Medical Center, in Austin, Texas. Dr. Crisanti earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed an internal medicine internship at The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where she served as chief resident. Dr. Crisanti has contributed to numerous medical journal publications and has presented at medical conferences. She is affiliated with professional organizations including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
