About
Bonny Su Wong, MD is a board-certified physiatrist who is also board certified in the subspecialty of brain injury medicine. She serves as the Medical Director of the Brain Injury Program at St. David’s Rehabilitation. She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. From there, Dr. Wong completed her residency specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where she served as Chief Resident and was the recipient of the Esteemed Resident Award. She furthered her training, completing her Brain Injury Medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, in Boston, MA.
Dr. Wong has contributed to a number of journal publications, written book chapters on brain injury medicine, and given numerous oral presentations on neurological rehabilitation.
Her clinical interests focus on providing individualized comprehensive rehabilitation and spasticity management for patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumors, and other neurological conditions with the goal of maximizing function and improving quality of life.
Dr. Wong is an active member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the North American Brain Injury Society. She has also held memberships in the Association of Academic Physiatrists, American Medical Association, and Texas Medical Association.
In her free time, Dr. Wong enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, playing with her dog, traveling, hiking, and staying active.
